History

It was Horace Greeley, editor of the New York Tribune who coined the phrase "Go West, young man, go West." For those brave individuals that weren't afraid of new challenges and opportunities the advice was taken to heart and the expansion into the great American west was well underway. It seems completely appropriate that StarTek started in Greeley, Colorado, the city named after this unique visionary. We are proud of our pioneering heritage which reflects today in our "can-do" spirit and business philosophy of doing what is right by our partners, friends, and neighbors.

StarTek was founded in 1987 as StarPak, a small product packaging and fulfillment company. Quickly building upon our early success, we opened our first customer contact center in Greeley and expanded our service offerings to include customer interaction management. On December 30, 1996, StarTek was incorporated in the state of Delaware and the following year completed a successful initial public offering of its common stock.

Since going public under the symbol SRT on the New York Stock Exchange, our growth has been exceptional and increases in year-over-year sales have been significant. As we look to the future and the outstanding prospects for our company, clients, and employees, we are mindful of our heritage and trail blazing vision that has served us so very well. We are committed to continue in this tradition and build a company that serves as a beacon for all to follow and a benefit to all those with whom we do business
