SCAM – FRAUD ALERT – PLEASE REVIEW

Attention! This is a scam and fraud alert issued by StarTek Inc. There are individuals impersonating official employees and representatives of StarTek Inc. under the names StarTek Tel Inc. and/or StarTrek Trading Store that are asking people who are applying for jobs on Craigslist or through other sites to either send money through Western Union or through other wire transfers. They may also ask you to take company checks from them sent via FedEx, take a portion out of that check for yourself as your paycheck and deposit the rest into account numbers provided by them or through Western Union. These acts are illegal.

Please be advised that these individuals are in no way affiliated with StarTek Inc. or any of its subsidiaries. StarTek will never ask any of its prospect employees to send money via Western Union or any other wire transfer and will never send checks through FedEx, and ask you to retain a portion as your paycheck and then send the remaining amount onward.

StarTek’s Corporate Security Division is aware and taking action through proper authorities to apprehend these individuals and to permanently enjoin them from falsely and illegally misrepresenting themselves as StarTek agents.
