IDC Names StarTek a “Company on the Move in 2009”

Denver, CO--StarTek announced they have been identified as a “company on the move in 2009” in the recently published IDC study “Worldwide Contact Center Services 2009 Vendor  Profiles:  The Slide into Uncertainty.   The study examined the players in the contact center service market and profiled those that are solid examples of leadership and innovation.

“StarTek was included because of their strong executive leadership, recent strategic expansion in the Philippines and plans for cost effective solutions like StarTek @Home,” said Stephen Loynd, program manager, IDC’s Contact Center Service Program. “During this difficult economy I identified a select group of leading edge customer care outsourcers that may come out of this era stronger than before.  StarTek was one of those companies.”

The study looks at 13 companies and ranked them on a leadership grid. The leadership grid x-axis measured the degree to which a contact center BPO firm aligned its service with market needs and the y-axis illustrates a company’s ability to gain market share.
