History
It was Horace Greeley, editor of the New York Tribune, who coined the phrase "Go West, young man, go West." Brave individuals who were not afraid of new challenges and opportunities took that advice to heart and led the expansion into the great American west. It seems appropriate that StarTek was founded in Greeley, Colorado, the city named after this unique visionary. We are proud of our pioneering heritage, which is reflected in our "can-do" spirit and business philosophy of doing what is right by our partners, friends, and neighbors.
StarTek was founded in 1987 as StarPak, a small product packaging and fulfillment company. Quickly building upon our early success, we opened our first call center in Greeley and expanded our service offerings to include customer interaction management. StarTek now has over 20 call centers in North America, offering business process outsourcing (BPO) and other services such as customer care, technical and product support, and customer loyalty solutions in dynamic industries such as wireless, landline, cable/satellite, technology, and retail. Keeping in line with our “can-do” spirit and business philosophy, we recently expanded by opening a call center in the Philippines.
As we look to the future and the outstanding prospects for our company, clients, and employees, we are mindful of our heritage and the trailblazing vision that have served us so well. We are committed to continue in this tradition and build a company that serves as a beacon for all to follow and a benefit to all those with whom we do business.
